A very intense concert

On October 20th, Sedes College was treated to a remarkable musical surprise. After an enjoyable lunch, we gathered for a concert where talented seminarians showcased their musical skills. To our amazement, joining this intimate gathering was none other than the renowned Austrian violinist and composer, Yury Revich!

Yury Revich, celebrated internationally for his artistry and achievements, has received honors like the ECHO Klassik and 2015 Young Artist of the Year for the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA). Known for performing in prestigious venues worldwide, he also plays a prominent role in charitable work, including as an Honorary Representative of UNICEF Austria. His compositions are beloved globally, and his work has reached new audiences through Netflix's Bridgerton. With a Guarneri violin in hand, previously replaced by a rare 1709 Stradivarius, Revich embodies both virtuosity and heartfelt dedication.

While in Rome for a concert, Revich graciously accepted an invitation from his friend, a seminarian at Sedes, to join our college gathering and share his music. The moment he began to play, we were captivated, as he filled the room with extraordinary skill, emotion, and grace. His generosity and warmth transformed an ordinary college afternoon into an inspiring, unforgettable experience that left each of us deeply moved.
