On Tuesday, March 25, five seminarians were installed as lectors in a solemn Mass at St. Apollinare Basilica. The ceremony was officiated by Monsignor Philippe Curbelie, the undersecretary of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The New lectors are Jovan Faylogna (Philipines), Jeevan Suravarapu (India), Benedicto Sarya (Tanzania), Mathias Msonganzila (Tanzania), and David Sabuni (Tanzania).

The lectorate is a ministry in which seminarians are entrusted with the proclamation of Sacred Scripture during liturgical celebrations, especially the first and second readings in the Holy Mass. This role marks an important step in their formation, preparing them for future responsibilities in pastoral and sacramental ministry.

The ceremony was attended by seminarians, priests, and friends, who gathered to support and pray for them as they continue their journey to priesthood.
