January 9 is St. Josemaría's birthday and the anniversary of the founding of our College. In this Jubilee Year that has just begun, it was an ideal time to go together on pilgrimage to pass through the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica, gaining the Jubilee indulgence. So we did. We gathered early in the afternoon in the renovated Piazza Pia and, led by the Jubilee Cross, we walked the entire Via della Conciliazione and St. Peter's Square until we reached the Door. Once in the Vatican, we spent a long time in silent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, exposed in the monstrance in one of the chapels of the Basilica. Then we prayed the Creed together before the confessio of St. Peter. It was a wonderful way to give thanks to God for the 34 years of history of the Sedes, and also to place our lives in his hands, asking for abundant grace to travel with joy and fidelity to his designs in the year that is beginning.
