The second year students, accompanied by don Juan Rego and guided by Alberto Tagliaferri, president of the Mirabilia Urbis association visited Piazza del Popolo, located next to the Aurelian Walls and next to one of the gates of the imperial era, this square is one of the largest in Rome and a starting point for a beautiful Roman walk that included a visit to the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, the twin churches of Santa Maria in Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli, as well as the famous Flaminio obelisk.
The detailed on-site explanations helped us to learn more about one of the many jewels of the Eternal City, and the visit was a concrete way to enrich our cultural formation.
