On Friday, March 28, some seminarians and priests of Sedes Sapientiae Seminary attended a special celebratory event at the University of the Holy Cross in honor of the Centennial of the Priestly Ordination of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei. The event began at 12:45 PM with a Holy Mass at the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare, presided over by Mons. Mariano Fazio, Auxiliary Vicar of Opus Dei and Vice Grand Chancellor of the University. Following the Mass, at 2:30 PM, a film about Saint Josemaría was screened in the Aula Magna, offering insight into his life and mission. The event included a thoughtful discussion between Mons. Mariano Fazio and Prof. Luis Cano of the Saint Josemaría Historical Institute. One significant theme discussed was Saint Josemaría’s deep connection with diocesan priests and his contribution to the spirituality of secular clergy. This gathering provided both inspiration and reflection for those attending, deepening their understanding of Saint Josemaría's impact on the Church and priestly life.
