Three challenges have marked the recent sport activity at Sedes. On Saturday, October 26, we played an evenly matched soccer game against Mater Ecclesiae School. There were chances for both teams, and a game characterized by grit and the desire to win the match, which in the end was very narrowly won by the Mater. We can also point out the debut of don Martin as coach, without missing his Argentinian mate bombilla, as well as the debut in this type of matches of some first year students. At the end of the game, we had a fraternal third time that was as good as the match.
That same Saturday, at the same time as the football match, there was also a volleyball match between Sedes and Mater. Our team, led by Jithin, was on the verge of pulling off a surprise and winning against an opponent that has been resisting us for a long time. Anyway, this time we were very close to win, but for the moment we leave it for the next match.
A third challenge was held in a third sport: basketball. On Saturday, November 2, Sedes Sapientiae and Colegio Urbano faced each other. Our boys, with the veteran and experienced players such as Kasun together with the new forces contributed by don Jaime, Ronil, Joel and other players, managed to win by 82 points against the 76 points obtained by Colegio Urbano. At the end, hugs, friendship and a little refreshment to continue fostering friendship on and off the playing field.
