On Friday, May 10th, 2024, the annual University Feast was held in memory of Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, the founder and first Grand Chancellor of University of Holy Cross. He is also the founder of Sedes Sapientiae.
As a special guest, the artist and sculptor JAGO, pseudonym of Jacopo Cardillo, was invited, known for his numerous exhibitions and installations in various countries. As stated on his website: «His artistic research is rooted in traditional techniques. JAGO uses marble as a noble material, but addresses fundamental themes of the era he inhabits, establishing a direct relationship with the audience through the use of video and social networks, to share the production process».
After the meeting with the artist, there was the Holy Mass at the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare presided over by the Rector, don Luis Navarro. The celebrations concluded with the cake cutting and toast in the courtyard.
